Dr. Charles Yichu Wang is an Assistant Professor in Finance (tenure track) at Nottingham University Business School. Beyond a scholar, he is also an active composer, pianist and conductor, an entrepreneur, and a venture capitalist. His compositions repeatedly appear in major concert halls in China and over the world.
Dr. Wang's research interests are corporate finance, innovation, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, real estate and China economy. His works are published on reputable journals, including Management Science and Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and have been presented in leading international conferences, such as SFS Cavalcade, FMA, ABFER, Asian FA, etc. He also serves as an ad hoc referee at leading journals including Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Corporate Governance:An International Review.
Before joining NUBS, he received his Ph.D. in Finance from PBC School of Finance at Tsinghua University, M.Fin. from Fudan University and B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
PhD positions: Students interested in research on all fields of empirical finance are welcome to contact and apply, regardless of your background. Those with strong academic passion, good communication skills and fluent English are preferred.
