Political and Intellectual history of Modern China, Sino-Japanese Relations, History of Socialism and Socialist Movements, History and Theory
My first book project examined the histories of the Chinese intellectuals and political leaders during the Republican era, primarily through the lens of the Chinese Youth Party. I have completed this project, and the monograph, titled "The Making and Unmaking of the Chinese Radical Right, 1918-1951," was published with the Cambridge University Press in June 2022. Order available at: https://www.amazon.com/Making-Unmaking-Chinese-Radical-1918-1951/dp/1009098713/. My second book project will focus on the issues surrounding the Sino-Japanese military confrontations in the early 1930s in Rehe/Jehol and its nearby regions in north China. Additionaly, I am also interested in critical theory of history and have published articles in this direction.
