Wei Huang is an associate professor in finance and accounting. He served as Head of department of finance, accounting and economics at Nottingham University Business School China during 2019-2022. Prior to joining Nottingham Ningbo in 2007 as assistant professor, he worked in the University of Bristol as teaching fellow (2003 – 2006) and Northumbria University as senior lecturer (2006 – 2007). Wei completed his PHD in finance in the University of Bristol. He is a holder of the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) and CPA (Australia) designations and has extensive experience in consultancy and executive education. He also serves on corporate boards as an independent director.

Wei is an associate editor of International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, Finance Research Letters and the China area editor of Research in International Business and Finance. His research lies in the areas of corporate finance and governance, financial reporting, market-based accounting research, ESG, entrepreneurial finance, supply chain finance, and innovation. He has a particular interest in the Chinese markets and firms and has supervised a number of PHD students to completion. To date, Wei has published more than 2 dozen papers in ABS-3/ABDC-A ranked journals, including several single-authored ones.
