Dr. Zhao Cai is an Associate Professor in Information Systems at Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China. Prior to joining NUBS China in September 2018, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) as well as a Visiting Scholar at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). His research interests focus on the intersection among digital supply chain management, platform competition, and sharing economy. Findings from his research have appeared in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly (MISQ), International Journal of Operations and Production Management (IJOPM), and Information & Management (I&M), among others. Dr. Cai is also the Principal Investigator for a competitive Youth Grant awarded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He was an Outstanding Associate Editor in Internet Research (IR) in 2021 as well as an Outstanding Associate Editor in 40th International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). Dr. Cai serves as the Managing Editor of Industrial Management & Data Systems (IMDS) and an Associate Editor for IR. Additionally, he has served as a Track Chair for Wuhan International Conference on E-Business (WHICEB), an Associate Editor for the ICIS, the European Conference of Information Systems (ECIS), and the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS).
