Abstract
The work aims to clarify the research progress on cultural and creative product design methods in China. Basing on more than 1100 themed papers gathered from the Journal Packaging Engineering, the author constructs a thesis network of cultural and creative product design methods research, rearranges them according to the research paradigm (cultural symbols selection, design concept formation and design practice implementation) and finally forms this literature review outcome. The author believes this paper will offer a quick glimpse and continuing trace for the researchers in cultural and creative design research field on the topics such as the research schools, the development trends and the research paradigm, helping the readers to grasp the backwards of current research, assisting the researchers in setting up goals and determining directions of their future investigations.
