Abstract
The resistivity of carbon black or graphite filled high density polyethylene conductive composites in external fields were studied. Besides thermal field, the uniaxial compression and alternative electric fields also influence the conductive properties of the composites. The critical values of external fields at which the resistance changes significantly are mainly controlled by the contents of conductive fillers. The resistivity responses of the composites on external fields are resulted from the change in both the volume fraction of conductive particles and the nature of conductive network.
