title = "Innovative talent development in Chinese universities under the Belt and Road Initiative",
abstract = "Development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) requires not only infrastructure development and trade cooperation between countries, but also the cultivation of innovative talents to enhance corporate business. Innovative talents are the key to a successful implementation of the BRI, and colleges and universities clearly play a key role in this context. We study three universities located in Ningbo and Dalian cities, representing the Sino-foreign, local comprehensive, and double first-class types of universities, respectively. The cities where these universities are located are two key cities in the implementation of the BRI. This study discusses different patterns of cultivating innovative talents through content analysis and interviews. Some suggestions are provided for universities, students, and firms based on the results.",
