Dr. Xinwei Wang joined UNNC since February 2020. She studied Industrial Design by completing the Bachelor and Master programmes at Jiangnan University and completed her PhD degree with the topic of " Segmentation of Panels in D-Comics" at the Eindhoven University of Technology, Department of Industrial Design. Before joining UNNC, Dr. Wang worked in various design-related roles in the industry, such as User Experience designer and animator in the companies Ikamobile, Innovation Works and Feeling Media. Within academia, she has previous experience as Student Project Coach at the Eindhoven University of Technology and as Assistant Professor and Lab Director of the Digital Experience Lab at the Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

Apart from ongoing project-based cooperation with the local industry, Dr. Wang is dedicated to investigating the design and manufacturing of intelligent products, in particular concerning integrating multimedia into products to improve the experience of the user. For example, digital interface for rehabilitation, human-technology interaction for education, and smart products for cultural innovation.
