Professor Yanjun Guan received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology from Peking University and his Doctorate in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2017, he became the first Chinese full professor at Durham University Business School in the UK, and began his professorship at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China's Business School in 2023. His research  in the field of organizational management has been published in top journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, and so on. In the field of psychology, his research has been published in the flagship journal of the American Psychological Association, the American Psychologist, Nature's sub-journal Nature Climate Change, and well-known journals such as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Journal of Vocational Behavior. From 2018 to 2023, he served as the associate editor of the Journal of Vocational Behavior, the journal with the highest impact factor in the field of career management; and from 2023 onwards, he will serve as the associate editor of the Journal of Cross-cultural Psychology. Professor Guan Yanjun returned to work full-time in China with the support of a national top talent program, committed to cultivating excellent research talents.
